Sunshine Tour: Newton Avalon wins 7 year old final

Some AES bred horses jumped in the picture at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera last week. The Irish rider Richard Howley (picture) won the final for seven year olds on Thursday with the mare Newton Avalon (Lux Z), bred by Lorna Wilson and owned by Megan Stephens. Graham Gillespie placed second in the same class for Great-Britain on Conetticut, a Dutch bred but AES licensed stallion. Also Gemma Johney Plumley grabbed some red ribbons for AES. In the six-year-old division she entered TJ Tyler (Balou du Rouet) in second and TJ Quincy (Quintender) in third spot. Quincy also was in third on Wednesday. On Thursday Gemma scored second place with Kobie (Animo). Lara Whiteway won the five-year-olds on Wednesday on Jackson V (Bellagio).
