Great outcome for Great-Britain, the AES studbook and for the Billy Stud in the Grand Prix of Mijas on the Costa del Sol in Spain. After finishing second in the Longines Ranking class on Friday, the British Alice Watson was the best in the Grand Prix aboard Billy Lemon (Cevin Z). Her jump-off time was three seconds faster than the chrono of the Dutch Charlotte Verhagen. William Funnell, again for England, placed third after a hopeful double clear performance of his top stallion Billy Congo. Funnell not only was rider and breeder of this horse, but also the breeder of the winning horse, together with his partner Donal Barnwell of course! Also Jay Buxton jumped off with his AES horse High Offley Arturos CA. He ended up in tenth spot.
