Bertram Allen almost wins Millstreet GP on Molly Malone V

The 17 year old Bertram Allen is the biggest talent in Irish show jumping. The number of classes he’s winning, is uncountable. He won the gold at the Europeans as a pony rider and as a junior. With only seventeen, he also has already won some international senior GP’s. After winning the Grand Prix of Vimeiro and the one of Ebreichsdorf this year, he almost took home the flowers in his own country. In the GP of Millstreet last Sunday, Allen was the fastest in the jump-off, but he lowered two fences. With his grey AES registered mare Molly Malone V (Kannan), he ended up in fifth spot. On Friday the pair won the GP qualifier in Millstreet. Last month he won the silver team medal at the European junior championships with the same horse. Molly Malone also won 1.45m and 1.50m classes in Fontainebleau, Paris and Braunschweig this year.
