GCT Monaco: Billy Congo second again

William Funnell is scoring huge success on the Global Champions Tour series 2013, with his own bred AES stallion Billy Congo (Vechta). After fourth place in London and second place in Cannes, he placed second in Monaco. He achived eight clear rounds in a row during those three GP’s. In the jump-off he made his first mistake in three GCT GP’s, which prevented him from winning the round of Monaco however three horses jumped double clear and went on to the jump-off! The last man Richard Spooner (Cristallo) was the only clear, winning the GP. Third place went to Edwina Tops-Alexander on Guccio after a refusal in the jump-off. In the provisional standings of the GCT, William Funnell climbes up to fourth spot. On Friday in Monaco another AES stallion claimed the second spot in the main class. John Whitaker and Argento (Arko III) were double clear, but not as fast as winner Mario Stevens on Corlanda
