Olinthos is by the exciting stallion Offender, who has been competing in international classes at 1.50m level and represented Spain in the Children on Horses European Championships. He is by Renkum Off-Centre, a son of Renkum Valentino and the famous mare Pebble Beach, herself a winner of £70,000 jumping and a multiple 1.60m Grand Prix winner. Offender’s own dam Cordula, by Cor de la Breye was also a Grade A showjumper with multiple Grand Prix placings.

Olinthos’ dam Cobriana is by Cobretti,who competed successfully at Grand Prix level and represented Great Britain on Nations Cup teams. His super pedigree includes names such as Capitol, Landgraf, Caletto I and Roman. His offspring include Whisper in the Wind, now contesting 1.60m classes and Gemmaire Prescious, a prolific winner for Nicole Pavitt.

Cobriana is from the famous Holstein jumping stamm 242 – one of the best mare families in showjumping. Several approved stallions have come from this line including the legendary Ahorn (sire of Scott Brash’s superstar world number one Ursula, amongst numerous other 1.60m horses), Alcatraz (licensing champion and FN age group leader) and Holstein and KWPN approved Joost, sire of numerous 1.60m jumpers and grand-sire of Namelus R, whose offspring include Ben Maher’s Olympic gold medal winner Tripple X III.

Olinthos is a seriously exciting stallion of the future. He is a super athletic modern blood type, with phenomenal scope, stride and agility At his AES stallion grading he achieved both a 9 for his canter and jump, with his exceptional scope, care and attitude all remarked upon.

Following success in four – six year old championships with Emily Hilton, in 2019 Olinthos was partnered by Colin Keeling qualifying for the Winter Seven Year Old Championship (finishing 4th) and Grade C Championship, Newcomers Masters and after finishing in the top three British Bred Seven Year Olds at the Bolesworth Young Horse Championships he qualified to represent Great Britain at the WBFSH Young Horse Championships at Lanaken, where he jumped two superb clear rounds before returning to win his first 1.40m national class.

At the end of 2019 Olinthos was purchased by Tim Gredley with whom he will continue his career. We have excellent quality frozen semen available.

Olinthos’ eldest crop are rising three, mostly carbon copies of their sire – blood, sporty, scopey athletic types with generous natures and kind temperaments.
