Headleys Deluxe is an exciting young international eventing stallion offering some of the best Thoroughbred and jumping bloodlines to breeders of event horses. Competing successfully at CCI-L 3* and BE Intermediate, he has wins at BE Novice and BE Intermediate level and came 3rd in his first attempt at the level at Wellington International CCI-S3* in 2022. Headleys Deluxe has also been selected to represent Italy back to back in 2021 and 2022 at the FEI WBFSH Eventing World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Le Lion D'angers, finishing in 16th place in 2021 and 26th in 2022 with a phenomenal double clear finish on his dressage score.

Headleys Deluxe has it all with outstanding temperament and trainability, active paces, stamina, alongside bravery and scope, with a ground covering gallop.

In 2023, Headleys Deluxe looks to step up to BE Advanced level and is being aimed at Blenheim 8/9 year old CCI-S 4* as an 8 year old.

Sired by Duke of Hearts, the prolific, black type German thoroughbred stallion. Duke of Hearts had several graded and listed wins at distances over a mile in his career and comes from the bloodline of the only German triple Crown winner Könnigstuhl. Duke of Hearts has progeny successfully competing at all levels in eventing, including: Daytona Beach 8 and Cornelia Dorr (USA) finishing 10th Burghley CCI5* 2022, Duke of Champions and Giovanni Ugolotti (ITA) representing Italy at Pratoni World Championships 2022 and Outback II and Laura Collett (GBR) winners at CCI-L 3* in 2022 and Le Lion 7 year old silver medallist in 2021. Duke of Hearts also sired 2022 BYEH 5 year old champion, Jack of Clubs owned by Nicola Wilson out of Team GB Championship and CCI5* stalwart Annie Clover.

Headleys Deluxe’s dam, the striking Colourful Lady, is competed at CSI5* 1.50 m level show jumping with Ireland’s Capt. Brian Cournane. Colourful Lady’s dam line has proved several elite stallions and international show jumpers. Damsire Casall ASK needs no introduction having competed soundly for 13 seasons injury free with 27 Grand Prix wins to his name. Casall finished in the top 25 at every major championship he contested including the 2012 London Olympics; 4th place and winner of a team bronze medal at the 2013 Europeans; 4th place 2014 WEG. The Global Champions Tour proved a happy hunting ground year on year competing in 39 LGCT Grand Prix’s, winning 9, alongside 2nd overall ranking 2014, 3rd 2015 and finally being crowned 2016 LGCT Overall Champion, beating the world’s best. As a sire he has proven equally as impressive, siring 191 licensed sons, 7 Elite mares and 80 state premium mares. Casall comes from the Stamm 890 damline, one of Holstein’s most successful performance mare families.

With over 70% thoroughbred blood, correct conformation and elastic paces, Headleys Deluxe combines the best of thoroughbred and Holstein jumping bloodlines. Having been carefully produced by Italy’s Giovanni Ugolotti, Headleys Deluxe is proving to be competitive, brave across the country, with a powerful and careful jump, and offers a superb temperament.
